Vancouver Island Heath Authority is the publicly funded healthcare provider. Island Health provides healthcare to more than 765,000 people on Vancouver Island, the islands of the Georgia Strait, and in the mainland communities north of Powell River and south of Rivers Inlet. Hot water rejected from chilled water loop is utilized for domestic water to save energy without enabling the boiler or water heater.
